Fluid by Beat

A combination of Ambient and Techno unites the sample pack Fluid from ModeAudio. The content of this library comes in at 538 MB and includes MIDI sequences and loops. The loops consist of ambiences (57), synthesizers (18), basses (19), drums (19), percussion (19) and noises (19).

The Ambiance textures are monotonous pads of various characters that sometimes sound relaxed, spherical and only rarely threatening. The synthesizers are soft and diffuse, though not to be used as hook-heavy leads. From the Percussion, one can expect Noises with long delays, with partly underscored rhythmized sequences. Noises are dominated by samples with the noise of water, reminiscent of field recordings. The drums are minimalistic, but could have been a bit more powerful and with less effects.

Verdict

Fluid's focus is on ambient sounds that work well in cinematic or machine productions. The minimal technoid beats are somewhat background.
