Who We Are
Origins
ModeAudio was founded in late 2013, by 4 friends who share a deep passion for music in all its wild variety. We decided we wanted to share our skills and knowledge as musicians, coders and designers by helping producers to create better music, as well as creating something that we could all be proud of.
ModeAudio is that creation - a combination of the best music loops, samples and synth presets that we can possibly make, with extensive production tips and tutorials that can open new doors for your creative process.
Making music is all about inspiration and experience, not about how much fancy gear you have at your fingertips. This is why we focus all our time and energy on mastering the instruments to hand in our bespoke home studio, blending musicianship with technical know-how in everything we do.
We started our journey in London, and whilst we're now spread across the globe, we've never been prouder of what ModeAudio has evolved into!
Collaborations
We've been in the sound design game for quite a few years now and have enjoyed working alongside some of the very best in the business. We wanted to take this opportunity to share some of our favourite collaborations with you from the past few years.
Native Instruments
In short, we love Native Instruments - we use their market-leading synths and plugins on just about every sound design project we dive into. In fact, Massive has been a go-to synth for us since day one!
We've had the sheer pleasure of contributing kits, presets and samples to a number of their Maschine products, as well as the honour of creating two full expansions, Prismatic Bliss and Opaline Drift.
We drew upon our extensive pool of field recordings and spent weeks honing the right guitar and drum sounds, as well as poring over Maschine's every feature in aid of crafting our own distinctive kits - nothing short of an unrivalled privilege!
Ableton
When we launched ModeAudio, working with the makers of one of our favourite music production platforms was just a distant, hazy dream. Skip a few years on and we had to pinch ourselves a little when Synthwave, our pack of custom loops and tools for Live, was release on Ableton's website!
It was deeply gratifying to get to spend so much time with all of Ableton Live's latest features, learning intimately how best to utilise their synths and effects in creating our suite of retro-fired racks. More recently, we collaborated together on Vibrations, a bespoke collection of our loops, samples and presets available to download for free.
Image Line / FL Studio
Our first ever collaboration was with none other than Image Line, the makers of the wildly popular FL Studio!
As well as adding four of our packs to their online shop, we contributed over 1,000 drum and percussion samples that are available within FL Studio as soon as you boot it up - instant ModeAudio firepower for millions of producers worldwide!
