Halogen by Computer Music

*The following is an extract of the full mini-review that appeared in print issue 259 of Computer Music.

The tracks are standardised in terms of instrumentation, each on consisting of two drum loops, a percussion loop, a bass loop, a chord loop, two arp loops, a "grain" loop, a noise loop and a drone. We could take or leave the rather overwrought beats, but the sound design and distortion work throughout is really quite excellent.
