Prepared Piano Samples by MusicTech

For its latest Mini Pack, ModeAudio decided to dismantle its beloved upright piano and then struck it with an array of felt beaters, metal rods, brushes and plastic objects to create a unique collection of percussive sounds.

Contact microphones were used to capture thumps, knocks, impacts, taps, scrapes and scratches, resulting in 100 organic percussion samples in Wav format. There are also five MIDI files, five sampler kits, plus projects for Ableton Live and Logic Pro with everything loaded.
