Processed Field Recordings by Computer Music
*The following review appeared in print issue 312 of Computer Music Magazine.
If you’ve been locked away in the studio for the last six months, you may have forgotten what ‘outside’ sounds like. Well, with these recordings you never need to leave again. Crystal clear babbling streams, birds tweeting, and crickets doing that thing with their legs have all been captured, forming ambient soundscapes that are rich and nuanced. There’s also drone-based texture samples and heavily processed takes, offering darker shades to the pristine naturalistic sounds. Now, close that curtain. There’s work to be done.
