Spray from ModeAudio is a collection of really neat granular texture samples that were nicely programmed and recorded for your daily electronic consumption. The samples are categorized in folders of Basses, Elemental Grains, Guitar Grains, Instrumental Grains, Noise & Texture Grains, Rhythm Grains, Synths and Tail Samples. 

A total of 188 files of 1.27 GB download size can be purchased directly from the site for $26.47 USD. The Guitar Grains samples are great and have this nice rich harmonics to it. The keys and piano grains sounds big and lush that they can used in drones, soundscapes and ambient compositions. If these are the types of sound you’re aiming for, then Spray has a lot to offer. 

Other sounds I liked featured in this library are the 31 Noise and Texture, in which are good for layering with other sounds. Like many of ModeAudio’s libraries, this pack is supplied with “Tail” samples in which can be paired with parent sample in order to bring the sound to a smooth, natural decay. 

Overall, this is a great collection that should give producers an inspiration to fire up their DAW/sequencers. This is a standout, useful pack that can be augmented to any electronic music requiring textural elements.
