Alteration by Soundbytes

Here’s another piano-generated sample library from ModeAudio, and it’s amazing. Alteration is a prepared piano library consisting of 320 samples. It is not your regular piano pack, but what you get instead are little snippet piano sounds. Think of it as a collection of effects. 

The Tone samples provide natural harmonics, metallic buzzes, muted strings, paper buzzes, resonances and more. The Note Cluster provides soft, regular and muted samples. The Impact samples include wood, metal and soundboard sound. The Scrape samples include brushes, tuning peg scrapes and string scrapes. The Iterative folder has some nice glissando and rolled note cluster samples. 

Alteration also includes 16 drum kit patches, three channel-strip settings and four MIDI loops. The sounds on offer are superb and well suited for those wanting to use these samples in a soft sampler to create their own patches. And with a tempting price, I’d say this is an insta-buy.
