Amber by Computer Music

*The following is an extract of the full mini-review that appeared in print issue 279 of Computer Music.

The percussive loops get the job done, but Amber is really all about the sustained sounds, most of which are 16 bars long and provide limitless scope for the extraction of sections from their shifting, evolving wholes. We particularly like the gleefully glitchy granular noises and satisfyingly saturated chords.
