Astrodynamics by Computer Music
*The following is an extract of the full mini-review that appeared in print issue 290 of Computer Music.
Astrodynamics might be aimed at soundtrack composers first and foremost, but there's plenty here for ambient and electronic musicians too. We particularly like the sci-fi industrial movements of the "Rhythms" folder, and the more Carpenter-inspired broodings to be found among the 'bass' loops; but there's nothing to complain about with the drones, textures and SFX, either, all of which are suitably spacious and quite 'celestial' in terms of their atmosphere and dynamics.
