Prism by Soundbytes
One hundred seventy-three (173) files in total for steaming TV series, film, ambient, game music and cinematic soundtrack production, Prism is another excellent library from one of the premier sample developers when it comes to ambient, texture and soundscape samples.
All the files are in WAV format, with sample length from 4 seconds to as long as 2 minutes and 54 seconds. The long samples are great as they can be used as background material or beds in ambient compositions. Just apply more delay and reverb and you’re good to go.
Prism is really about atmospheres, drones and textures, but you’ll find other flavors of electronic sounds such as sequenced synths. From calming to dramatic and from serene to ethereal, Prism is nothing short of impressive and represents what mood you’re in. I particularly like the 52 diverse samples in the Ambiences & Drones folder.
Many of the samples sound dreamy and lush, even some are shimmery. I would say that ModeAudio has displayed creativity in making these samples. If you’re looking for a new pack to widen your sound palette, Prism is something to consider given its size and usability. By the way, I love the gorgeous demo of Prism at Mode Audio’s website. Take a listen if you have time.
