Calling again upon our trusted 1970s Akai 1720W reel-to-reel tape recorder, we first thumped and thwacked our way through 5 different acoustic drum kits plus a plethora of dazzling Zildjian, Sabian and Paiste cymbals, before committing it all to authentic TDK analog tape.

Mixing in direct with stereo overhead microphones to create more of an open, roomy and an altogether more alive sound, each kick drum, snare, tom, hi hat, ride and crash cymbal sampled has been cloaked in the dusty warmth and sparkling, mix-ready presence reel-to-reel recording is known and loved for.

We've mixed and matched the 105 tape-driven drum sounds included into 8 ready-to-go drum kit sampler presets for a range of popular DAWs, allowing you to boot-up and get beat-making straight after download.
