Cartography by Computer Music

Cartography does an evocative line in big hip-hop-style beats, tastefully wavering pads and IDM-esque melodies, and is full of interesting compositional ideas. One of the things that sets Mode apart from most other sample producers is their keen ear for edgy electric bass and guitar sounds, and the deft combining of them with synths and rum machines. That skill and knowledge is put to great use here, bringing a real sense of 'humanity' into play.
