Veteran samplesmith ModeAudio is back with another atmospheric treat for desktop musicians, modern producers and sound artists called Spring – New Age Ambient Loops. As the name suggests, this library aims to cover the new age, experimental, ambient, minimal sub-genre with its soft atmospheric nature. 

Inside this 402 MB, 24-bit library you’ll find 105 Acid WAV loops, 56 Acid WAV tail samples and 73 MIDI files. The sounds include synth pads, drones, plucked strings, pianos, percussion, noise textures and basses. Auditioning the Ambience & Textures and Pads folders can be a nice sensory experience because Spring has plenty of inspiring sounds. 

The proper organization and labeling of each folder is definitely a plus, with the samples tagged with key and tempo information. I happen to have Acid 6.0, and the Acid WAV files provide flexibility and ease in whatever tempo and key your arrangement is on. Lastly, the samples themselves are very clear and punchy. Overall, the quality of the inspirational sounds is top notch and what you’d expect from ModeAudio.
