Synthetica by Soundbytes
Here’s another synthwave pack from ModeAudio in this month’s issue. When it comes to the synthwave genre, there’s a wave of interests everywhere. And that’s when Synthetica comes in to offer producers a dose of cinematically-charged samples. Synthetica: Synthwave Soundtrack Loops is a 579 MB library full of 80s-inspired retro sounds, especially synths.
Firstly, Synthetica offers 144 music loops of synth riffs, chords, arps, basslines, textures and layers. Secondly, you’ll find tasty 45 drum and percussion samples that were sourced from an array of vintage drum machines. Thirdly, every melodic, harmonic and rhythmic files in the main loop collection are available as MIDI loops. You can load these in your DAW’s MIDI player to trigger a synth as sound module. And lastly, there are 85 synth tail samples to complete this pack.
These samples can be augmented to your chosen loop to give a smooth, natural finish. Whatever electronic genre you are working in – whether it’s retrowave, electro pop, synthwave or downtempo, you’ll find something inspiring in Synthetica. It has lots of building block sounds when starting on a project. I happen to like moody arpeggios and outer synth riffs in this collection. Those alone are worth the admission price of this pack.
